Marcus Wade

Marcus Wade is a Global Program Manager at HP Inc., where he leads the strategy and execution of refurbished PCs globally within the innovative startup organization, Renew Solutions. His distinguished career in technology encompasses product marketing, strategy, and innovation. Prior to his transition into the technology sector, Marcus gained extensive experience in the Maritime and Logistics industry, working across various sectors including insurance, trucking, warehousing, and engineering classification.
Marcus is deeply committed to giving back to the community through his professional activities and board service. He served on the board of Open Dance Project (ODP) from 2023-2025 and 2021-2023 as a fellow through the Rice Board Fellows organization. He will soon transition to the board of Montrose Grace Place. Additionally, Marcus serves as the Chair for the HP Houston Pride Business Resource Group (BRG), where he advocates for the LGBTQ+ community at work. His efforts include involvement with the Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce, establishing talent pipelines for LGBTQ+ members in STEM, and partnering with several non-profits. Marcus also acts as a liaison for HP recruiting for Rice Business.
During his time at Rice Business, Marcus held several leadership roles, including Secretary of the Rice Business Student Association for Professionals (RBSAP), Co-President of the Adam Smith Society, Co-Social Chair of the Black Business Student Association (BBSA), and Rice Business Board Fellow.
Marcus is dedicated to mentoring and supporting the next generation of leaders, always willing to engage with students and peers. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys exploring the Houston food scene, weightlifting, singing with the Houston Pride Chorus, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Marcus holds a B.S. in Maritime Business Administration from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Rice Business (class of 2023).
