Professional MBA Tuition and Fees
The evening and weekend Professional MBA programs both consist of a 22-month, lockstep curriculum that is delivered in four consecutive semesters (two academic years).
Tuition for the Professional MBA-Evening Class of 2026 is $61,750 each academic year ($123,500 total), and tuition for the Professional MBA-Weekend Class of 2026 is $64,750 each academic year ($129,500 total). Tuition cost includes your program tuition, registration fees and the Global Field Experience course.
As a Professional MBA student you can tailor your experience with over 100 elective course choices, and access the Rice Business Career Development Office, guest speaker events and the Rice Business network.
Both programs require a non-refundable enrollment deposit of $2,500 upon acceptance that will be applied toward the fall semester tuition.

*Health Insurance is an institutional requirement. You may waive this requirement by submitting proof of alternative medical insurance that meets Rice University minimum standards.
**Students are responsible for purchasing their textbooks each semester. Textbooks may be purchased at the Rice University Campus Bookstore or through any store or online vendor the student chooses.
***Students wishing to park on campus have multiple options at various price points. Parking permits for the 2023-24 academic year may be purchased beginning July 1. Additional information may be found on the Rice University Parking website.

Weekend Residency Program
An optional travel subsidy is available for weekend MBA students commuting to Houston, to help with the cost for professionals outside the city.

Rice Business's Weekend Residency Program includes the hotel portion of a student’s stay for class weekends. Hotel accommodations are provided by The Westin Medical Center, located near campus:

The fee for the program is $2,500 per semester ($5,000 per year) which is added as a line item on a student’s tuition bill each semester. Please note that the Weekend Residency Program fee is not included in the MBA tuition and is completely optional.

The Weekend Residency Fee includes:
- Room/tax for class weekends (Friday and Saturday nights)
- Room/tax for Immersions
The Weekend Residency Fee does not include:
- Hotel parking
- Incidentals (e.g. mini-bar charges, meals at the hotel, room service, etc.)
- Airfare or transportation
